Although police details are always present to facilitate both vehicle and pedestrian traffic management, we ask that those on foot exercise caution when approaching these active work areas to minimize risks to personal safety, and to avoid any interference with construction.

How to file a claim for property damage:

The general public may file a claim by contacting the McCourt Claim Hotline at 617-939-5217. This hotline number is posted on a message board located at the active work site. The public may also contact McCourt Construction's main office and refer any concerns to the McCourt Safety Department at 617-269-2330.

Are you affected?

National Grid’s Salem Cable Project will improve Salem’s energy infrastructure by replacing aging cable transmission lines that provide power to tens of thousands of homes and businesses in the region. The Salem Cable Project’s construction phase will begin in January of 2015.

    Cutover and energizing of new S and T cables

    Removal of existing S and T cables

  • Mar 2016 – June 2016

    Final restoration of new cable route
